Putting the “normal” back in paranormal.
I explore the ways we connect, transcend, and heal through community, ceremony, and consciousness.
I’m Riordan Regan (they/them; formerly known as Holly). I’m an artist, ceremonialist, writer, and apprentice of the healing arts. If I were living in the Irish pagan culture of my ancestors, I’d be called a Bard: a wandering poet, oral historian, and walker-between-worlds. Reclaiming such lineage is my mission.
Also a PhD student at the Transart Institute for Creative Research, I explore the ways people connect, transcend, and heal through community, ceremony, and non-ordinary conscious states.
Through events, workshops, 1:1 sessions, art, journey work, and preparation/integration, I engage in lived practice-research: how to re-ensoul the world for those who have forgotten. In so doing, I draw from ancestral, intuitive, Indigenous knowings, cosmologies, and embodied practices.
I seek to celebrate the divergent, normalize the paranormal, and bring what has been hidden into the light. Together, let’s rediscover a world alive with spirit and imbued with meaning, where every single part of us belongs.

My journey through deconstruction, initiation, and healing.
The Place Between Worlds
I move between ritual, art, and research, aiming to make the invisible visible and bring what has been hidden into the light. My mediums include ceremony, altar-building, drawing, journaling, performance, communion with more-than-human intelligences, consciousness exploration, divination, and astrological timekeeping systems. These are tools for remembering—ways to reconnect the parts of us severed from nature, soul, and story.
Over the years, I’ve inhabited many forms: gonzo anthropologist, award-winning journalist, ceremonial participant-observer, and self-experimenting healer, to name a few. Now, through my doctoral work at the Transart Institute for Creative Research, I interweave art, mysticism, ecology, plant medicine, and Indigenous cosmologies. I study how humans have always used ceremony to reconnect with what matters—and how we can remember now, especially those of us severed from ancestral lifeways.
I explore all that lives in the liminal: conscious planes, queer and trans becoming, grief as teacher, joy as rebellion, pain as portal, art and creativity, consciousness, death and transformation, dreaming, archetypes and collective memory, and the return to an ensouled world.
I am in service to the unspoken, unseen, and still-becoming.
